Born to a Chinese-American family, Andy's dad was in the military and so he spent his early years moving from country to country. It wasn't a bad life, but he started to envy the kids he'd meet at school who'd lived in the same house all their lives. The ones who had best friends that they'd known since kindergarten. The very idea of knowing someone that long was mind blowing. Just before he started high school, it was decided he'd move in with his grand parents, both so he could focus on his academics and so he could have a stable environment for transitioning purposes. Luckily his family was very supportive on the matter, but high school proved that while he liked not moving... finding a place that felt like home wasn't going to be easy.

When it came time to go to college, his major wasn't even an issue. He'd had so many wonderful teachers over the years who'd really helped him figure out who he was as a person. A true blessing from the universe. Going into teaching just made sense, because he wanted to be able to help other queer kids out who might also be struggling. It only seemed right. Majoring in teaching with a minor in art, he wasn't sure what he was going to do after college. Until a friend suggested a job listing for him in Seoul. Having lived in South Korea during his middle school years, the idea of going back seemed like fun. He'd loved living in Seoul. So he packed up everything, accepted the job, and until this very day has never looked back. But would he stay? That he couldn't know. At least not yet.

Andy is, for the most part, a very polite guy. Soft spoken, quiet, and well dressed he isn't really the sort of guy who takes chances very often. Plus, as a teacher he's very aware of leaving a good example for his kids to follow. The sort of guy who'd hang out in a fancy cafe with a sketchbook and a cup of tea. Not the sort of person who loses his temper very often, so if he does get angry it's for a Reason. Can seem overly stuffy on occasion because of his quiet nature and his tendency to wear nicer clothes on a daily basis. He's not stuffy or snobby really, despite how it might appear. Definitely follows too many aesthetic Instagram accounts. Likes acoustic music. Listens to a lot of singer songwriters and modern classical. Probably considers himself a bit of a poet too.

Speaks English, Mandarin, and Korean. A little Japanese. Plays the Piano. Dabbles at guitar. Actual Art teacher so pretty okay at it.
